Ibanez SR305 bridge BROKE help!!!

Guys a have a major problem with my sr305 ibanez the bridge just broke out of nowhere after a few more tries to make it playable again it was completely destroyed... help I heard that warranty cover these things but no luck with that.

You can search the Ibanez homepage for spare parts and order one similar to the one that broke.

Although if I were you I'd probably be vary of getting the same type of bridge.

I agree. That's a bad design to begin with. I would try a different kind of bridge personally.

The string spacing is 16.5 mm on SR series 5 and 6-string basses. Also, some Ibanez basses recess the base of the bridge into the body. This is true of my SR406, SR650 and SRSR756. So it will be easier if your replacement bridge's base is the same size as the original.

I had an SR 375F and was able to get a hipshot bridge onto it. It was a tight fit and required a little wood piece in the bottom to fill in a gap created by the difference between the stock and replacement. If you go this route, get the 065 spacing to make it match the original. - this info is plan B in my opinion. After I did all the jazz with the hip shot, I kinda realized that I actually liked the original ibanez a-style bridge better.

they had a bad run of those, if you got the bass new i'm really surprised you couldn't get it fixed under warranty.

otherwise, a new ibanez replacement should be inexpensive, should have the issue corrected and will probably be the only thing that fits.

If you don't want a stock bridge any more, maybe one of these Schaller Roller bridges? I have a couple of them (4 string model, though), and they're very nice; whether they're black, gold, or chrome...
