If there was a Talkbass Filter???

Im really not trying to stir a hornets nest but man, if newbies were looking at this, theyd be scared off of TB. I understand some of it, for sure. But some of the posts Im seeing its like, why even bother having a TB then? Just surprising to me is all.

It's not that no one wants to discuss these things; it's that there have been 700+ threads on each of these topics, and we just keep repeating history. TB needs a really smart indexing/search system that would allow people to hit a tab that says "best bass for metal" and read the 1,936 threads about this.

Yes, I completely agree with you here. If it had a better search system, I think a lot of threads wouldn't need to be repeated. The search feature they have has improved a little but you still have be very exact down to the "a" or "the" for it to find whatever it is youre searching for. Heck, I've started a few threads myself that were total repeats. Some of the members I've come to know were gracious enough to let me know of the existence of the other one(s) and direct me there with a link.

I personally do not mind questions and in fact I'm all about sharing the stoke
but ones looking for the 'Best' need to 'read' 'listen' and 'play' more.
