Well geez... if I HAVE to pick two. ;)

I'll take a Zon fretless 6 (don't know if I'd want a Sonus or a Legacy, I've only played a Sonus and it was quite an experience) with a piezo bridge, and a Sadowsky fretted 5 with the as of yet unreleased EMG Twin Coil pickups (they're based on the CS pickups and have a switch between single coil and humbucking modes... EMG's site says they'll be out later this year).

I can see myself accumulating a pretty large bass collection if I ever earn the money to support one.. but just those two basses would cover a lot of ground for me.

Reiner's basses are unique. Full of creative ideas and with (self-made) pickups that are among the best pickups in the world.

Link Removed cool website - unfortunately German only. :(

Well...the first is my trusty ol' Spector NS-4. The second is hard to choose...I played a killer MTD 535 a few weeks ago that would probably rival any 5'er out there! That could be number 2. Or an Elrick, should it be as good as I've heard. Or a Rob Allen fretless or a Spector NS-4 fretless w/ piezo...the list is pretty endless:mad:

Fortunately, at least I've got a great bass in my Spector and a decent 2nd bass in my MIM Jazz:)

Yes but the really evil thing about polls is that they go to the top every time someone ticks it, so you go to every forum and all you see are polls at the top of the page and it gets to the point where you are having to "ignore" just about everything and if you just browse what is "new" it's all polls!

It's really driving me mad - some days I just can't be bothered to pick through all the polls to find a "real" conversation!
