For a rig I probably wouldn't use it all I'd just keep it simple, around $2000-$2500 maybe?

I'd get a lowend 33 scale jazz bass. The deluxe joint with all the fixins. Then I'd get an alembic f1x with a 2500 watt crown amp and a schroeder cab either the 2-12 or 4-10. Oops I think I went over...

Right now, I honestly don't need a new rig or a new bass. I'm completely satisfied with what I have.

I imagine it is just, great.

As for me, i would go straight to the music shop and get a SVT3 head and 6 or 8X10 ampeg cab.

I plan on doing this in february anyway. 4k wud help though.

I would get a Sunn 2000s, both head and cab (I already have one cab, so I'd then have two). If I had enough money after that, I'd get another Rickenbacker, probably a 4003.

$4000 sounds like a lot of dough but like a game show where you fill the shopping cart up you can get only so much before you go over. How about a Fender P Bass Deluxe($1500) , Ampeg 810(reg. ) $1000 and an SVT CL ($1600) .... you went over....see what I mean? Make sure you buy what you really need and want because when you go to re-sell any of it you will be lucky to get 50% of your money back , believe me I am going through this right now. Have fun shopping.....................

That's sound logic for buying things brand new... I could get an American Standard P for $700, an Ampeg SVT-CL for $1100 and any old Ampeg 8x10 for $400 all used. thats what... $2200... still have enough for a Rick

I'd get a Nordy VP4 one in the classifieds right now for 1800, then I'd get a Nordy VJ5 Classic to go with my VJ5 modern. probly one around for 2200
Either that or I would get a yin yang standard or an MTD 535 to go with my 635.... Wow I didnt realize how hard this would be. Good thing I don't have 4k!
