Great eye ya got, andre !!!!!!!Both of your basses look amazing but I can't help thinking that the saddles look wrong. Is that really how they intonate? Usually the E must be longer than the other 3.
I never noticed the phenolic saddles looking that way. You are right! I'm fanatical with intonation and it should be right but I did set this bass up at least 7 years ago. It has TI Flats. I'll get out my electronic tuner and give it a check.
As you can probably see, I had to use zip ties on the string ends to hold them in place because they would slide out of position on the phenolic saddles. (7.25" radius)
Well, if the intonation is off a bit, I play up toward the nut where it can't be heard. No biggie.
I hate to say this but my 1953 P is more or less a "living room décor" antique. I don't play it very much.
