I purchased the Marshall Amalgam captures too. The captures take drive pedals well. I use mostly the Edge and Clean with a few songs calling for a Dimed and Crunch in our setlist. 6 different EQ points on each gain stage is brilliant.

I think the amalgam captures are amazing. I have most of them and was a beta tester for his first bass release. He does great work.
Yes. I like the Amalgam captures so much I deleted all other captures (except Noble preamps) from my pedal and Tonex plug-in. (I also quit buying and trying other amp modeler/sim hardware and software.)
The Marshall Major bright cab clean, edge, and dimed are pretty much what I live on. For guitar, it’s Amalgam’s Tone King balanced cab, pushed, and fuzzy. It’s just soooo good!
i've owned ToneX and A5 MAX software for a while.
it wasn't until installing the 1.5 ToneX update that i could gel with the user experience.
i hated it before. but now the search, filter, and folders seems much better.
and holy cr@p - i'm sold on the bass amp selection now.
very nice - convert.
the pedal just jumped to the top spot for my next pedal.
depends on what NAMM 2024 reveals.

I have a bunch of effects I use with mine. A lot of source audio. A bunch of preamps to choose from as most of my basses are passive. A sushi box more at the front.
For DI I have a Radial JDI and recently got a Noble that I haven’t tried yet.
Even just going bass-> pre-> comp-> Tonex -> jdi is a great setup. Other effects for more flavors are fun.
Depending how it works, I’ll probably capture my Noble settings and keep it off the pedalboard.

I am suddenly getting a 1008 error when ever I click on a profile in Tonenet.

Glad I am not alone - Been trying on and off for a whole day now. Luckily I have the profiles I 'need' for tonight already saved on the pedal.
A ticket to support did it? Not been able to find the forum thread on the IK forum, but may aswell send support an email if that did it for you.

- IK Multimedia is planning something. We know this much. Could a bigger TONEX modeling pedal be on the cards? Maybe one that combines the company’s underrated X-Gear pedals for a Quad Cortex-rivaling multi-FX? That’s what we’d do if we were in the IK driving seat, anyway.
I was playing through my Tonex earlier and am absolutely loving the tones I am hearing & feeling! I also got an API Tranzformer CMP compressor - which has added a whole new dimension to my pedalboard. Everything is just more present and has more weight to it! So good!
