I'll miss you, Chef.

After some discussion, we agreed to leave this one up for a while too, and it will eventually be merged. Here is the link to the In Memoriam thread.

R.I.P. Chef

Thanks Bob. It seems that while the 'In Memoriam" forum is a great idea, it's off the beaten track and It's really nice to have a thread that's more visible for people to share their thoughts of Alan.

In the spirit of Chef, let’s all work to keep this forum a positive place for everyone to convene.

He very much would have wanted that. I know that he had a love-hate relationship with the forum. He loved the place and the topic but hated that often people couldn't get along over something that should be easy for everyone to appreciate together. I do know he hated to be the cop and really had a 'don't make me suspend or block you..." attitude about it.

This is a little shocking to me , I had no idea he was sick. He was a model of fairness and could always make the tough decision. I can only say as I fight my own war against the big C , God please accept his soul . Chef you will be missed .
You’re not alone. A few of us have been through one. I was not aware Chef was fighting his own battle. It’s always a bit more personal when you’re fighting or, have fought a cancer battle yourself when you hear of someone else going through the same thing.

RIP Chef.
