Not physically, but gear wise. My Wife has surprised me with a " new to me " Bass Rig, Bass and all. The Amp is a GBX Amp with a 2-15 Cabinet. These amps are rare, and were made east of Toronto, Ontario in the 60's-70's. They even made an 8-10, but have never seen one in existence. There must be one out there somewhere. They have the Amp built into the cabinet. The " Head " is just a controller. I have played the 4-10 rig but have never seen the 2-15 anywhere. Price: $300.00 Can.

If any of you have used one of these Amps, you know what I mean. They ROCK ! The great thing about them is that you can use multiple cabs from one controller. I have seen pictures of FOUR of the 4-10s set up as ONE amp. I can imagine the sound....16 tens....Ooooofah !!!
The Bass is a crummy " Barracuda " . It'll be here Friday night.

I'll post pics when I get it back here.:D

I owned one back in the early 70's for about 6 mths. Traded it for a new Traynor YBA-3 and YC-810 in early 73.

Here's a GBX promotion piece.

And a photo of my 215 GBX and bass from back then. This would have been late 1972.

Enjoy yours when you get it.

Alright....here it is..... A little tougher shape than the picture. It works, and still sounds HUGE. I plugged the crappy Bass into it at the Sellers house to test the amp. Good thing I didnt play it too long as the ground pin was NON existant. I got it home, cleaned it up, and it looks 100% better.
I then plugged my Precision into it, and .....WOW. The Barts sound MUCH better.
I'll try to post a sound clip if I can figure that out. Man...I sure missed teh sound of a twin 15 !!!

Enjoy!!! Now, I gotta find another 2-15...LMAO !!!!!

I love the look of this stuff. What does the "Response" (A-E) dial do?

I cant ( I honestly dont know) tell you that. I tried the Amp last night, but one little noise, and the dork upstairs started banging on the floor. She was making more noise than me. I'm gigging the Amp tonight, and I'll report back tomorrow on that question.:ninja:

Alright...it seems that the " Response " Knob gives you five pre set tones. " A " being really deep Bass . " C " gives you a crisp crunch kind of tone. The other settings I cant really describe.
Above all, the Amp worked all night, without breaking a sweat, or heating up. The Cooling Fins on the rear of the Cab, didnt even get past warm.:ninja:
