I'm officially boycotting Guitar Center

Do you? Well they are hurting. Not entirely sure if you've been paying attention but Guitar Center is in some serious debt and closing in on bankruptcy. Partially due to my 'anti-recommendations' and the 'anti-recommendations' of the thousands of dissatisfied customers. However you can go ahead and keep telling yourself that Guitar Center is a thriving business.
Until they close, then we will see Threads "gee I miss G.C."
Wonder what happened to G.C.?
Remember G.C ?

What they won't remember, or learn from, is that you can NOT treat your customers like sh!t,
not care that you treat your customers like sh!t,
foolishly believe that each one of these sh!t on customers WON'T
tell at least 10 people,
and then LOL, because you got away with treating your customers like sh!t.
Yeah, you got away with it all right.

JUNK bonds being called in
FTW:hyper:

That is a clear sign of prosperity.:roflmao:

Maybe they can try a co-op.:woot:
LMAO

didn't see that coming.

So you are glad they are in financial trouble, and are hoping they close down?

I guess its a good thing that thousands of people around the country may loose their jobs, or that even more people wont have access to local music gear.

We aren't 'glad'. However maybe they will have a change to their business model that will make it a store that I WANT to go to. I only go there now when I have to. Unfortunately my girlfriend shops at the petstore next door so I HAVE to go in whenever she gets dog food!

I am never glad ,
NOR l.o.l
at anyone's misfortune.

However I will LOL:roflmao:
at the stupidity
and flat @$$ obstinate
belief that you can
treat customers like sh!t
and still thrive.

I WILL LOL
all the way to your competition.
AND tell everyone I see along the way.

You shoot yourself in the foot,
AND then wonder WHY
you are limping...
:rollno:

You have a very valid point. I change my stance. I'm glad. I hope they shut down. I have at least a dozen other music stores around me. Hell... probably triple that. Great thing about Phoenix.

My point was that you could take a pi$$ on the gear at G.C.
and you would not see a difference.

Swamp coolers cool thru evaporation.
Not much to them, and they actually work.
Out there.
Here, it would RAIN inside the building.:woot:
Yea, thats how it was back home. 85% humidity on a 90 degree day is WAY worse than 115 degrees out here with 15% humidity.

You do realize that you are painting with a VERY broad brush right? Your experiences with GC customer service are not the same as mine, I have had no bad experiences with GC service and they have gone beyond my expectations when I needed them to. There are hundreds of GC's in this country, to say they all suck because of one or two experiences is a pretty narrow view point.

The guys at my local GC, and 4 other Houston area stores I have been to are friendly and helpful. The tech is a pretty good guy, and as far as I can tell seems competent. Sure none of them know as much as I do, but thats to be expected.

Broad brush MY @$$,
I'm using a ROLLER.

I have been to music stores all over the WORLD.
I have been in more G.C.'s than I wish to remember.
All around the country.
Some were worse than others.
ALL SUCKED
when compared to
ANY other music store.
On second thought, maybe I should be using a sprayer.

HAHA

I can personally guarantee you that GC does not suck compared to any other music store. There are three within a 5 mile radius of the Pasadena TX GC that are absolutely terrible compared to GC

For most of my stuff, I let UPS or FedEx or USPS do the driving. I buy online for almost anything and everything. My time is too precious to use battling traffic and getting stuck in it. Retail stores are a pain in the butt.

Sorry about your bad experience at GC.

I would concede, that there exist, for the time being,
stores that actually are worse than guitard center.
I have never been IN one.
And I hope that I never Am.

However, the possibility, that a turd smells worse than a fart,
will NOT motivate me to rally in defense of, or in support of,
the fart.

If it stinks and is offensive, that is what it is.
I do however reserve the right to
LOL at a fart.
Just saying.

The side effect of this is that you have to put money down to try things out...whereas I just have to drive to the store. A little bit of my time saves me the waiting game & potentially being unsatisfied.
