Impulse buy! Gallien Krueger content! (NAD)

I have the 1001RB and the 410 NEO cabinet. It rocks. Also recently purchased a Fusion 115 for a country band I am playing in currently. I started out way, way back in the day with a 400B and Sunn 215SH folded horn cabinet. I have, and will always be, a GK amplifier player.

I never owned the 1000rb, but I knew someone who did. That guy wouldn't shut up about how perfect it is. I'm not sure about issues, he talked it up like he worked for them.
I had a 2000RB (basically 2 1000s in one box) and it slammed like no tomorrow! Very versitile, BUT it developed issues. I found a spare board for one side but never fixed it. Here's a pic I ripped from reverb.

Impulse is a cute pick guard. A new 700RB is a wise investment.

I like your rationing here, Mike. Haha. But the truth is, a 700RB or two *is* quite a wise investment for a bass player. Having gear that is known to both pack a punch and be reliable is worth a lot to other musicians. Other musicians can also easily think of the tone when you point to the bundles of records that this thing has been on.

Can't speak to the records produced with GK, but the brand's reputation speaks for itself. Coming from Trace Elliot, which I still own; longevity, tone and clean headroom power were priorities. The 400RB 115 combo was purchased where small footprint for one band was needed. Then added a 15BLX for 4 ohm vertical projection. Sold that stack. Upgraded to the 700 into a beefed up vented 215 w Eminence Delta's. Been my daily for a couple years. The 1001's in case I want to be banned from a venue.
