It'll take a bit of looking but I'd go with a Peavey Fury.

On Reverb you can search year and price. There are some funky basses from that time period.
This may be tough to beat. There is some finish issues on the side that they are not showing well. I wouldn't care about that.

They didn't , the Foundation was released in 83.I'm not sure if they made them in 82 or not,
