Can we hold her, please?

Ouch. You posted about that, once. I can't pretend to know how hard that must have been.

Is there a preferred method for finding decent gear on craigslist? ( struck out twice in 2 days )

As with most other things in life - be prompt, be polite, and keep trying.

Is this part 1 of "We're only in it for the money"?

I've made a few hundred dollars for wedding gigs, and what was required was either learning charts, reading, or watching the bandleader's chording hand like a hawk (a gig at an Orthodox Jewish wedding where there were no charts and the songs were not typical "standards").

Do you write any of the songs that your band plays?

10/8 - particularly an Armenian 10/8 called "Jurjuna" (it's pronounced that way, although it's spelled differently, with that weird Turkish "C" that has a little line through the bottom). It's parsed 3-2-2-3, and it feels like 6/8. Very different than the basic "Mission Impossible/TV Car Chase 10/8" that's parsed 3-3-2-2.
I play a lot of odd meter in my Arab/Turkish music incarnation.
I'll also give a shameless plug for this 7/4 Funk tune that I wrote - from a recent gig:

Do you enjoy any styles of non-Western music?

arrgh !!! :D

[DEL]I'll give ya two. I love both 3/4 and 7/4. Probably more than any other time sigs.[/DEL]

It's safe to say I haven't really found a musical style I don't like. I particularly enjoy folks music from around the world. It's such a great way to really know a people.

When you write songs, do you come up with the melody first or the lyrics?

Frozen Door tenth track on this CD -->

Have you ever had any songs go to CD ( or album/cassette if your old like me :P )

[DEL]Chasin' the Dawg. Also up on the Funkranomicon channel.
Hmm.. that or Catwalk for Folk in A. I've been in a "songs for pets" kinda mood. Wrote both about the same time.[/DEL]

Funky, you beat me! Woot!

This past year, a few. Just getting far enough back into music for that to be happening (after a multi-year break).

The new Funkranomicon CD (released this month - still free downloads on Reverbnation):
Book of Funk
Chasin' the Dawg
Edgeville

This year's Folk in A CD:
Dona Elizabeta
The Oak and the Linden

Guess I haven't done too badly, creatively this year.
Is music your primary creative outlet?

Probably on Abbey Road during The Sun King, when they're singing in 'Italian' and they slip the line 'cake and eat it' in.

Either that or on Tenacious D's debut, at the climax of Wonderboy, JB sings the line 'me and KG', then kg replies in a silly voice 'that's me'. It totally destroys the high point of the song in a very amusing manner.

Why is Funky Ghost called Funky Ghost?

Not yet, but soon, when I have enough money to drop one, I will! I am having my gf, who is taking her sweet time, draw it up for me. Its an original and complex idea, so I can allow her to take her time xD

I am hungry.... What is for dinner tonight... and can I have some?
