How to piss off a Death Metal singer - praise them for sounding just like the Cookie MonsterAs long as it doesn't have that roaring, puking, death-metal vocal style, I'll buy it.

Oh, man, the interwebs has some great stuff.
There was a PC game about 10 years ago called "Rock Manager". At the end of the game, you get to hire the musicians of your choice and record a song. I would always pick the death metal singer and have him record the sappy country ballad. "You don't have to be ashamed, baby / Of mispronouncing my name, baby / You don't have to do the time, and if there really is a crime, I'm the one...TO BLAAAAMMMMMEEEE!"
Thank you! I appreciate it a lot.I'm late to the party and looks like it has wound down. I usually hang out over on the DB side of TB and just found this set of threads. I spent the last two weeks reading through them. Great stuff here. I love your writing style, Tom. I'm a long time Zappa and Gentle Giant fan. Don't have MAJNH but love Scott's playing on BBYNHIYL. Going to download In Cold Sweat to the kindle and order Ghosts.
Thanks very much.I just saw a pop-up advertisement for the book up above this page ^^^. Good to see it advertised and hope that sales are doing well.
I finally, at long last, got myself a copy. I haven't read much yet, but hopefully will get into it this weekend. I love Tom's style and really look forward to the read.
Excellent! Thanks very much.Seeing the banner ad reminded me that I've been remiss in posting my Amazon review (some days I hate how overwhelmed I get with the day job, but I can't do without it yet...).
So I just fixed that, adding another 5-star review to those before me.
If you haven't yet - BUY THIS BOOK, and then review it. Read it if you can, but buy it and review it!
I bought a MusicMan Sabre that Scott Thunes has agreed to play for me, and soon there'll be an improvised jazz album available based on the memoir. Scott played on that too.
Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate them.Oh wow. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think that's a very cool idea!
Let's all manage our expectations. We could be headed for this:We got ourselves a genuine "Happening".
