PM me if you want my e-mail address so we can talk about these things. I can't get enough of talking about them.If I ever feel that I have something to contribute, I certainly will. I tend to keep quiet unless I believe that I can add value to the discussion, and that usually doesn't happen.
Thanks again for everything.

I seem to have gone blind and can't find an RSS link anywhere.
EDIT> Oops, found it on the "News" page - an icon to the left of the word "News".
What does that mean?BTW I use a free RSS to email service:
http://blogtrottr.com
LOLWhat does that mean?
Until five days ago, my knowledge of Websites was stuck in 2003, the last time I had one. Now I know all about SEO, but I have no clue WHAT YOUR LINK MEANS!
Was I screaming? Sorry.
.Well, I post one or two items a day. My site can get flagged as a spam generator if I'm sending out one, two, or three mass mailings a day.LOL
If you set up an account at that website and tell it the URL of an RSS feed it will poll it for you every hour and if there's something new it will email it to you. The problem with RSS is you need to have a client program running to "see" it - RSS is soooo last century but most blog softwares assume that the audience is soooo enamored by the blog that they will check the blog daily or at least check their RSS reader program regularly - yah right.
Thanks very much. There is enough material in that post -- and the embedded links - and the things -they- link to -- to keep anyone here occupied for a day. And it would be a good day.
I'm 10 minutes in and I've already downloaded 2 CD's I didn't know I needed and bookmarked another. Great stuff !
Thank you, Thomas. U truly appreciate it.Read it I did and thank you for commanding. My relationship with your writing started with the thunes interview in bass player ( actually it was haggards photo which drew me in, cause I had absolutely no idea who this scott thunes guy was!)
When i was done reading i cut out the photo and stock it on my wall and ordered make a jazz noice here at my local store. I have never been blown more away by a bass player. I tried to get my hands on as much music as i possibly could and it saddened me a great deal that the well was dried up so to speak. I bought in cold sweat and it was my favorite book for years. How happy i was when scott started playing again and these past months has been filled with Pink Things and Mother Hips youtube clips. All of a sudden everything started making sense again and i finally got my head around what it is mr thunes does so well. So again mr wictor - thank you. Thank you for bringing mr thunes to my attention and writing such great books. In cold sweat is now number 2 since the arrival of ghosts. An the album...brilliant. Bought it yesterday. Perfect.
Good to hear that your menieres is taking a back step - have had mine for 13 monts now and it has sortha settled in a place where it and i can get along most of the time.
I am looking forward to the next chapter in your life. All the best from DK - thomas borge
Finally I got to see Scott Thunes live!
Hi Tom
Last night I was fortunate enough to see Frank Zappa's 200 Motels being performed at the Royal Festival Hall in London - the full BBC concert orchestra plus a huge choir.
Before the show, Scott, Gail Zappa, drummer Joe Travers, conductor Jurjen Hempel came onstage and were in conversation with Gillian Moore (runs the classical dept at the RFH) who it seems has been fighting tooth and nail to get this show to happen for years.
It was a fantastic insight into the world of Frank. Scott was full of fantastic technicolour anecdotes and was hilariously funny in the process. What a treat!
The concert itself was an incredible experience that provoked pretty much every emotion there is and to the extreme (I even felt the 'fight or flight' instinct kicking in at one point when it got really intense!)
It was fantastic to see Scott's play, if not his usual improvisational self as of course, he was part of a massive score this time. You could see he was absolutely HAVING it though, so moved and so into it.
He also was brilliant acting in character during the 'I'm Stealing The Room' scene. Nearly stole the show with that one!
When Scott was on bass, he was rocking a very nice and shiny new Musicman Sabre in sunburst![]()
Got to have been your bass Tom and I hope so, as Scott and the Sabre were part of the massive whole that earned a very well deserved 15 minute standing ovation at the end. Amazing stuff! Just incredible.
A night I will treasure always.
My pleasure, and thank you Tom.
A quick pic I took..
