Introducing songs with dumb jokes

At the beginning of the show:

(singer) 300 years ago Beethoven wrote the Ninth Symphony so we're doing a tribute to him and only playing his compositions

(audience) :confused::rollno::o:eyebrow:

Then play Chuck Berry's Roll Over Beethoven.

It's not that funny , but there's some people who only got it after we finish the song

ROFL. I'm stealing that to infinity. Until now, I've never learned that song (I had to fake it one time sitting in in Savannah). I just joined a band that plays it. I will be introducing that one at gigs.

You're welcome to it. It's actually a Steve original. Thanks for noticing. It's pretty subtle.

"We've received a couple of requests, One, No, we're not leaving town, and, Two, No, I don't think a guitar would fit there...Cheers...

I'm stealing this one!

"I wrote this song after seeing a beautiful act of kindness and compassion....
A lady with not much to her name gave all her recently bought groceries to someone in even worse financial shape then she was...The lady that received the items, witch included a whole chicken,was touched to tears"......

"This song is called Freebird"......

This was so lame, it made me laugh quite a bit!

"We're going to play an obscure tune that probably none of you know...." and then play Sweet Home Alabama.

Guitar player:"This next one is a song about my ex-girlfriend"
Me: "You mean you write songs about your hand?"

"This is a song about how to please your woman" and then we do "Going Down" by Freddie King.

This one's for the older guys: "Hey guys, we're real excited. We just got a record deal. We signed up with Columbia House to get 10 CDs for $1."

"Remember folks, do as the leper gigolo did, and leave a tip"

Oh dear....

"What do you call an empty jar of cheese whiz?"

"Cheeze was..."

Awful I know, but it works for all ages.

This is hilarious...

I seen a band the other night start off a song, "What has 9 arms and sucks?"
Then they broke into a Def Leppard song.

:mad::spit:
