As far as I know FL Studio and Music Studio are very much the same. I've MusicStudio which is a nice app, but even so I still use GB far more often.... MusicStudio is very good if you like orchestra and other world instruments. By all means FL Studio HD is probably a great app. But I think Cubasis is maybe the future as it is the newest studio app, it have great synth, nice instruments and very good Audiobus / Audioshare integration. It lacks features in the mastering department even though it does have EQ, compression etc.
Cubasis workflow with Auria which is the king of the DAW's is great.
I used FL on my PC at one time, but there are easier apps to use in iOS for the same purpose. For me, anyway, FL just doesn't translate to the small screen.
Non of the big studio apps are perfect.
Here is my thoughts and ranking:
1) Auria: The king of the DAW's, powerful and true pro stuff. Pro plugins and LOTS of options regarding mixing and mastering. The biggest minus is that it is power hungry. iPad3 is the bare minimum. Also, no in app instruments.
2) GarageBand: Yes, it is limited regarding mixing and mastering. The import and export possibilities are very limited, so goes to only 8 tracks. But what GarageBand does it does best. Maybe the in app instruments, specially drums and Organ. Ah, only Audiobus output slot. Price is ridiculously low. Best bang fort the money.
3) Cubasis: Newest and most modern of these apps. Best Audiobus integration, very good synth, decent in app instruments. Decent effects and mixing/ mastering possibilities. Very limited automation. BUT, workflow with Auria is GREAT.
4) MTDAW: Powerful recorder, handles many tracks, handle 24/96 (the only one besides Auria to do that!). No in app instruments, but it is quite cheap.
5) BeatMaker 2: Very powerful package which includes lots of features including very good automation. Lots of loops and in app instruments. These are quite good. The effects are average, not as good as Cuabsis. GUI, workflow and size are the big minuses of BM2. All and all as all in one app it is a good purchase, but I can't stand the workflow....
5) MusicStudio: Covers many features. Very good in app instruments regarding orchestra and other world instruments. Quite limited regarding mastering and mixing.
6) NanoStudio: Great synths and.... great synths.

You can add Meteor, somwhere on the lower half of the list I'd say.
A combination of DAW and MIDI sequencer with a bit clunky interface that detracts from the score.

It'd be great if some of you big cats would create videos of some of these iOS DAWs/tools in action... like tutorials on settings, workflow, etc. As a labor of love to this community and to the non-Asgårdian mortals like me.

The bass guitar and lead vocals are live. Everything else is custom-playing in Garageband on my iPhone. Finished it up in Garageband on the Mac, but I may just export out the individual WAV files, and redo all of it with decent vocals in CubaseLE.
Hope you guys enjoy it, and please forgive the really poor timing on the vocals, and some of the notes I floated sharp vocally.

I went back to my keys today.
Had some inspiration from the Alan Parson's Project tune "I Robot".
Did something new also for DM1. Put the drums thru Jamup in the effects slot on Audiobus, to add the reverb and delay. I thought it was kinda cool sounding.
