Wait you mean to say it's NOT going to change the world?

Absolutely!
For example...
Hearing. OTOH, jamming with some friends. => no brainer
Hearing. OTOH, the Fendre decal I placed on my Sqwaier and how kewl it now looks and sounds! => no brainer
Hearing. OTOH, the monster ballad I just composed and how it's going to change the world... => no brainer
Hearing. OTOH, my place in TB's pecking order... => no brainer
I never said things where unnecessary, and everyone will have their own definition, which I respect 100%.
Now, having a conversation with your loved ones without them getting frustrated every time they say something and you respond with "what?". Now, THAT is important in the grand scheme of things. ...and not being able to have that conversation because some band members don't have a clue on dangerous noise levels? That's a total fail.
Fortunately, we can all arm ourselves with knowledge, and make informed decisions. I have been predicting an epidemic of hearing impaired people in the next 20 years. And I'm going to try to do anything I can to 1) save my kids from it and 2) spread the word. At least I intend to make as big a splash as I can to bring awareness to the issue.
I use to be on the other side of this camp. Loud is cool! What, can't stand the heat (noise)? Then git outta the kitchen.
Now, I gotta spend thousands of dollars to keep up with the technology I need just to be able to keep my job. At some point, I'm going to need surgery to have cochlear implants. My life has been impacted/changed in so many ways that I just can't stop thinking about what would have been had I not have to deal with this disability.
For those that are not where I am, it can still be avoided. THAT is not trivial.
Amen, brother. You are absolutely dead on.
So, I might have a chance to do some jamming using my massive iPad rig and
I was thinking that in order to have electrical harmony among the various devices
I'd grab one of these little gizmos to sort out the signal routing.

Radial Engineering PRO AV2
I can take the 3.5mm stereo out from my Guitar Jack 2, run that into the AV2 and then go to the PA from that.
I also can take a monitor feed for a stage amp/monitor from the AV2 as the discrete inputs are paralleled with the 3.5mm stereo in.
Anybody use one of these? Something similar?
Am I overcomplicating things?
TIA
That just looks like one of those things that feels right in the hand, a solid chunk of metal and good function.
That's a guy thing I think, women don't seem to get the same feeling.
One of those goes on my wish list.
