Not sure if this has been posted. I spoke to Positive Grid by email today and they said they are working on making Jamup work with GarageBand's in-app thingy. I downloaded garageband the other day and have not used it yet but like the drum machine. I still need to buy the instrument app and maybe the smart drums. I want to try a different recording program because I am not liking mtDAW that much anymore.

The app is amazing, really a breakthrough in amp emulation. Bias kind of put Amplitube Desktop into the archive regarding flexibility and possibilities. And the tone is open, clear, real tube breakup.

This picture is taken from an early build which had only guitar gear.
But, don't worried bass amps will be available. You know some of the models, but now they will sound better and you will be able to look and adjust the internals! :)

I'm a bit burned over this one. I just dropped over $600 on the new 5S, and now I'm thinking I should've just gone with an iPad instead.

Here's hoping they get it to run on the 5S, since it using the same processor as the iPad.

Well....

Funny you should mention that. I've got such a bad case of GAS that I'm buying the 5th gen Touch, giving my iP4 to my kid for Christmas, and getting me the new Air fir Christmas.

With the Touch and Air, I'll be able to run the Bass rig from the Touch and drums and lyrics from the iPad Air. That's not counting all the MIDI stuff I want to do.

The Bass rig that's rack stuff would have cost me at least $3K. The way I see it, if I'm careful, I can get all kinds of iOS stuff for that money. All I need now is a decent full range Keyboard amp, if I need an amp at all. I may just get an IEM for my bass, if I can find one that doesn't blow out my budget.

I blame you guys, really. I'm hooked on the Apple iOS gear, and it's all TB's fault. :D :cool: ;)

Yeah they sent me an email saying it will be out in a couple of months. So rip you will be good to go.

They also asked if I had any thoughts for something new. I told them I would like a 10 band EQ and some kind of synth pedal like a moog or something.

This company is really a class act. They respond to questions then ask you/me what I would like to see from them. They are not the norm and I like that.

Used the Ampkit SVT VR and CL cabs with the Germann mic and Sansamp BDDI for the gig last weekend. VERY. BIG. SOUND. Flats sound very old school, and with a bit of drive, the JazzV sounded very gritty. Added in the Elevenizer for some Paramore and Flyleaf that we do, and it was a grindfest. Did a little tweaking afterwards, based on what I heard.

Now, if only Ampkit was set up for the Airturn pedal. :(

OK guys, new to iOS recording here. Have had an Ampkit Link for quite a while, along with the Ampkit, Amplitude and GK app, but decided to do something more than a little practice with it. So I downloaded MTDAW, then Audiobus. After playing with it and downloading JamUp Pro and its B15 and 360 amps and the LA 2 compressor, I've also downloaded Ampkit's Trace Elliott amp and some effects. Now I'm hearing the noise issues with 3.5 connected inputs, so I've got a Line6 Sonic Port ordered. I did not read all 6 ios threads, just the last one for the most recent info.

So ... question. I'm hoping you can plug bass into Sonic Port, then use the output to plug into an amp or DI ? Is this correct? How are you connecting to an amp or a DI ?

BTW, so far I really like Ampkit's Trace Elliott amp/cab ...
