Just finished off a six pack of Milk Stout from Left Hand Brewing. Now off to bug my buddy in Longmont to send me a case of Old Chub from Oskar Blues.

Awesome! Oskar Blues is one of my favorite brewery's out of Colorado. Tasty tasty brews.
Mmmm hmmmm.
One of my favorites from all over the country. I can't stay out of that place everytime I am in the Denver area. I'm at either Oskar Blues or Jack 'n Grills.

My homebrew equipment is sadly a bit dusty right now. Also, I lent out my grain mill, 10 gallon kettle, and wort chiller. I have a porter recipe I woke up and wrote down one night that's waiting to launch. Unfortunately I think the party I'm heading to today is all lawnmower beers.

Actually, this morning, I'm strolling through costco, being all domestic, and they've got a pretty nice selection of ales. I opted for one of my favorites -- Ballast Point Yellow Tail-- but Stone, and Green Flash were both in full effect including Arrogant Bastard and Ruination by the case.
I have a saison that's about done and in my secondary, but haven't been brewing nearly enough lately.
Anyway, what I'm diggin' lately are good ol wheat beers. I still love me some IPAs and my Belgian beers, but it's #$^@ hot, so I'm enoying these:
Thunderhead's Golden Frau Honey Wheat:
7.5% abv, but plenty smooth!!
Big Sky's Trout Slayer (wheat beer)
4.5% abv and very clean/crisp
German hefeweisens:
nuff said!!!

As soon as I get the conical unpacked I'm brewing some honey kolsch asap to have it aging in the fridge to be ready for the hot end of summer.

Which are slightly hoppy and a bit (but not too) bitter from the coffee in the brewing. Very good, 7 of 10.
And also 6 of these:
Which is simply a fantastic doppelbock, a bit heavy and slightly sweet, and you can feel the alcohol (8.2% ABV). 9 out of 10 for me (I like a good IPA, but I'm definitely more of a dark beer guy)
Next week, I'll be sending 6 of these to Maki:
...and I hope he chokes on it!
(...not really, but if he does, he'll go with a smile on his face, 'cuz that's some GOOOOOOD stuff there...

Well, I've been drinking alot of Stone Pale Ale and Stone IPA lately as it is arecent addition to the New Orleans market. Same goes for Brooklyn Lager.
Two local beers I'm really enjoying are NOLA Brewing Hopitoulas (an IPA) and Bayou Teche LA 31 Pale Ale.

Picked up some Big Sky Pale Ale (among other things) and didn't find it that good. I'll have to try it in a day or two with a clean palate. Had a krystal weis before it.
Found 2 good "summer" brews for me when I don't feel like drinking Guinness.

Found a new liquor store in pueblo that actually has a decent microbrew selection. Got some of this on a recommendation from my friend:

Just as tasty as I remember it, and brings back so many memories. (I was born in Bitburg, and we lived there for many many years. I grew up around Bitburger, and the packaging, taste, look, feel, everything reminds me of home)
