Had a Young's Double Chocolate stout earlier today- I've got a Samuel Smith's Brown Ale in the fridge that I haven't tried yet (love their Oatmeal Stout).

That Java Head stuff Gard posted looks great.

Not sure if you're messing around, but the beer doesn't acutally taste like honey. Fermentation turns the honey sugars into alcohol, no differently than the fermentables from grains, corn sugar, etc. I've never had a mead, but like I said, it's an easy way to kick up the alcohol and still keep it nice and refreshing. My particular honey wheat is nice and strong, but still good on a hot summer day. I have no problem with barley wines, but they're definitely not a good beer for hot days.
