Are we dang sure it's the same buyer and pedal? I would want to be 100% crystal clear on that first.
I was told he did the same with the last Nimbus that was for sale in the Classifieds as well. Same buyer.
I agree with the sentiment here but I get moderated and yelled at regularly for such behavior. Flippers suck, but they exist and too bad. There are plenty of regular posters in this thread and on this forum and many don't even try to hide behind reverb...I make note of known flippers and avoid selling things to them (but in reality, I don't sell my stuff so it's a moot point). It's a shame when someone does the right thing (although more often than not they are just out of touch) and lists a high demand pedal (IE, 3leaf, Broughton, etc) for a fair price and that gets snatched up by someone to make a quick $50...but there are no rules against that...but there are rules against berating people for doing that. We live in a backwards world <shrug>
If you’re asking if I think it’s an excellent pedal that has a high value based on its quality and what it does, then I think you can answer that for yourself. I am happy to enjoy it, just as I am happy to always entertain and discuss trades and offers, because you know, GAS. Everything is worth something different to another person. If someone wants to go on that site and pay something or make an offer I can’t refuse, who am I, or you to judge what purchase they make? Does it affect you? I’m sure most people have been in the situation. Do I want to sell it? No. Do I want to sell it at that laughable price? Absolutely not. It is simply there to be known that it does exist and can prompt a discussion for an interested party. If it remains with me, I’ll be more than happy to have it on hand. Where is the price line that would have prevented you from huffing and puffing over this all morning? Sometimes, through various trades, you end up with multiple units or have a back up on hand, just in case. Everyone has different scenarios. Passing judgement not knowing facts isn’t helping. Hope that clears something up for anyone. Apologies to all who have had their feathers ruffled over something that doesn’t have to do with them.

I would disagree that it's a shame if someone sells a pedal for a fair price, instead of gouging the market.

You say you're happy to entertain trades and reasonable offers. Yet, you don't have a supporting membership on TB, which is required to even start threads in the classifieds & do what you're claiming. So that indicates you're happy to purchase here at fair prices, make your profits on Reverb, and not actually engage in the classified forum in the way you're outlining above. Looks like you're trying to convince yourself, as much as everyone else, that you're acting in good faith. And you're right, it is your business if you'd like to operate that way - but when you do it in an obvious manner, people here will make it their business to call you out and let others know not to sell to you if they care about that sort of thing.
And it does have to do with others because there are people have been looking and waiting for that pedal who actually want to use it. So not only did one take away that opportunity from someone else, but now one is also trying to scam an absurd amount of money from someone else for it. Whoever did it knows exactly what they are doing and it is quite pathetic, and for whoever it is to attempt to justify it, is quite the more pathetic.
I get that. I think it was misunderstood. I wasn’t trying or saying the aim was to do a classified thread on it here and not align with the requirements necessary to do so. But where it is available elsewhere, one could do that on other platforms where it does exist.
Right - so you're leaching good deals here to make a profit and benefit yourself, and then making up excuses when called out on here. Where you do it doesn't change the fact that you're doing it.

There's no misunderstanding here, you're clearly buying for cheap here and scalping on Reverb, which your choice of course. That knowledge will probably steer people away from selling to you here. Their choice of course.
It still takes me a quick minute to get over the confusion I face, when reading a thread exchange involving an “ignored” member.
