I'll add that while I had no intention of selling my Arcing Prisms with the auction being where it is, there is something I have had my eye on for $800....that I'd part with my Arcing Prisms in an instant for. If you aren't into the bidding thing but think $800 is a deal for this one hit me up (I'll cover the shipping ).

As a collector, I get the GAS w this auction but as a musician/pedal geek...Arcing Prisms is unique but $700+ is a lot to spend for these non traditional sounds...and maybe some of you bidders are starting to build up in your head some sounds this thing might make that it won't. I am the last person to call a pedal unusable in a musical sense...but I am curious what some of the active bidders think this pedal sounds like...if you are in fact chasing it as a pedal instead of just a trophy. I consider Arcing Prisms to be a quadraphonic toppling as opposed to a staple sound.

I recently sold an FMeron on Reverb asking only what I paid for it. Great Pedal but not the sound I was looking for. I was asking in the mid 300 range including shipping. It sold in about 1 minute after posting. It is now on Reverb for $540.00 plus shipping from Calif. So, whoever buys it is buying from a profiteer not a fan of Iron Either products. Just a little heads up.

Same dude has three Octabvre MKIIIs up for sale. It's typically pretty easy to spot the people who are just flipping as middle men by clicking on their stores...

If you want an idea of the Arcing Prisms tone but you're willing to look at different options, the Pladask Feber can be very similar. And in staying true to the current pedal economics, that's another builder who's work gets scalped on the Verb..

I love Pladask. I was lucky enough to get a Baklengswhen the last batch went up for sale. I immediately clicked with the pedal.
The Feber is too wide for my already crammed board unfortunately. Only an Arcing Prisms can fit

If you took my commentary on the flipping community as a personal attack then that's on you. My opinions on the practice are what they are...opinions, but if you want to flip pedals have at it, nothing I think or say should stop you and I have already expressed myself in the topic.

But I've always been willing to sell things for high prices. I have done it in the past. I don't list things for high prices ever because I am not into flipping, but if someone offers me a crazy price for something I am not looking to sell as a way to try to motivate me to sell...then sure I consider the offer. You may find it hypocritical, but to me that's a different thing than listing something with a targeted profit in mind. I think it's douchey to buy something and decide it's not for you and then list it for more than you paid. I don't think it's douchey to accept an unsolicited offer that is more than you paid...if you don't see the line between those then so be it. It's a meaningful nuance to me.

There's a universe of things that happen behind the scenes. I have been offered tempting money for basses I own but have always turned it down. Those deals never represent any kind of market value they are just instances where a stupid unsolicited above market offer comes in and people are put in a unique position. It happens with homes all of the time. I got a handful of them when I listed my Sunray for trade and I parted with several Broughtons back in the day when someone reached out with an offer I couldn't refuse...and similarly I have made offers on things not for sale to both success and failure.

Really happy to see Taylor profit from this sale and hopefully others like it to keep things moving in these crazy times. I too am looking forward to some new Iron Ether ideas, perhaps some old ones redone in ways that may be currently possible.

Maybe the Sub voice from the Sub T or a single band drive from the QF, or maybe the Cygnet resurrection. I have no clue if this is possible, just a moment of idea reflection.
