Iron Man 2

I had a blast watching it! I loved it because it is a fun movies that does not take itself seriously. Heavy, brooding superhero movies remind me too much of 13 year old who think they are "mature." A superhero movie that is a fantasy suits me just fine.

I thought having Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury was too cool! Scarlett Johansson was awesome! She really came off as a believable bad@$$, and the totally destroyed some dresses and catsuits too.:D

It's got some cuss words, but I don't think my kids were scarred for life. My wife even thought it was pretty neat.:)

Ahahah he made a funny.. you see, because iron man wears a suit, and the action and humor in the iron man movie suits his tastes. hahaha

Just got back from it. I dug it, it was pretty entertaining. But seriously...

Awww yeah! :ninja::p:D

I didn't know that. The way that I found out about Don Cheadle replacing Howard was an interview that Howard did. He claimed that a contract had already been signed and terms agreed to and he was training for the new movie when the movie people called him and said they were firing him in favor of Don Cheadle. According to Howard, he didn't know why because he claimed he never had any issues with anyone and was surprised by the move. But I guess there is two sides to every story.

Dude, that's pretty interesting...so completely 180 from what I read back over a year ago... interesting....hmmmm.

The truth so often lies somewhere between the opinions of both sides!

Just got back from it.

Scarlett Johansen...

...even the wife said so.

;)

I didn't like that they went from Terrence Howard to Don Cheadle. That is nothing to do with either actor, I just didn't like the inconsistancy!

Terrence Howard was SO BAD as Rhody that I welcome the inconsistency. He was such a freakin' WIMP in the character that there was no way in heck he was going to work as War Machine. Cheadle rescues the character in this one. An upgrade that is very welcome in my opinion.

Otherwise, well done all around. Very entertaining.

I haven't seen it yet but it seems like they've once again done a great job with casting between Jackson, Mickey Rourke and Scarlett. Not to mention Don Freaking Cheadle!

Apparently one of my fourth graders skipped school today (with parent permission since his dad called in to say "he's not feeling well") to go see the movie. Way to go, mom and dad.

bc

Thats the stuff a kid will remember forever my dad did that when i was in 4th grade for the 1st spider man. Its worth it, most kids pay zero attention in school anyways:p

My dad offered to take me with him and hid friend to see this but it looks lame so i passed.Redbox will have it some time in august probaly

A couple of things bugged me.

Scarlett as Black widow, I thought she was a Soviet spy villain & love interest from DD?

I can't buy Sgt Fury being Black, I love Samuel Jackson, but I can't stomach switching races or sexes for established characters. Just like I do not like Super Girl, Bat Girl and Spider Woman.

Glad they did not have Mandarin as the villain. Iron Man was always a weak comic, in my opinion.

Iron Man vs Hulk would be cool with the Hulk-buster suit.

The battle scenes were awesome as was Downey & Rourke.

black nick fury is from the ultimate universe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Nick_Fury

i don't mind female versions of a character (though characters built from the ground up are always better), so long as they are treated as unique individuals. super girl's backstory is identical as superman's, so she's lame. (power girl, despite being an alternate universe version of super girl--i think--is a better character.)
