Irreversible climate damage is imminent

Why would I have to check them? The fact that not one single alarmist group out there has ever been able to point to a projection that has been right, is proof enough that one doesn't exist.

Or, are you suggesting that alarmists are holding back a projection that proves their case? :D

There are many but you have to have an understanding of what it means to be "right". Climate projections do not take into account ENSO oscillations, aerosols, cannot predict future human behaviour etc... Nearly every "sceptic" critique I've seen fails to take these things into account.

Take this assessment for example:

But "scepticism is a 2 edged sword. There are many problems with how they have arrived at their results. fudged axes and flawed assumtions. While "sceptics" are quick to say "alarmists" do not question, very few stop to question where they get their own information from - bacause MOST of it is bogus.

Also - projections are the statistical average of thousands of individual model runs. If you are looking at the bumps of weather noise comparing it directly to a projection which is a statistical average thats not understanding what a projection is.

Here are the projections from the IPCCs First, Second and Third reports compared to observations with error bars.

But back to sea level - that's actually much more straightforward.

Never seen or heard of this strip before, but I had a look at the link...very funny.
I wouldn't know about This Modern World if an American friend hadn't sent me a couple of books a few years back. Definitely worth checking out. :)
It's not a particularly well known institution but it's been around for years and is one of the most consistently funny and astute things I read.

What about racist humor? I find jokes about all different ethnic groups funny (if the joke is funny), does that make it true?

Or am I just a racist?

I find offensive things funny because they're inappropriate.
There's nothing funny about racism in 2014- unless Chris Rock tells the joke :)
I find humor funny when it's true.
You're probably thinking of stereotypes as opposed to racism.
Those are funny too.:|
What's wrong with being sexy?
Of course, we all know that references to cult comedy dialog is the lowest form of humor according to Plato.
