yep, born in december so i missed the 5 years old cutoff date in kindergarten, so i started high school in '69. later, they wanted to move me up a couple years, but i didn't want to get a whole new set of friends.

If MJ looked this good before he died the he'd still be extremely popular, but the 80's passed and then he turned white. It's sad to see someone go from being one of the best looking people on Earth to being so freekish looking that they become the target of nation wide jokes.

Just played mine for 3 1/2 hours last night and never had a problem. I mean, I HAVE noticed that as with any of the basses I own (4 Fenders and 2 Rics) if you use one of those damn worthless "slippy straps" - ANY bass will dive on you - I know from experience....:D

But I got away from those years ago and only use straps that "stay put" due to the material they are crafted from.

And, of course, as in all things.....YMMV and IMO :p

That is just not true.
An instrument designed not just by looks, but taking into account weight distribution and balance, will not neckdive with a non grippy strap.

I have sold basses because of neckdive. I only have one that is NOT balanced, but it is so light and sounds so good I decided to try and live with it, we will see.

A grippy strap may help... but if the neck dives it just takes your shirt with it, and you look... well, not great ;-)
