Is global warming fake?

I've all but conceded the heavier divisions to sumo kids and Samoans. I'm really focusing on the 32lb class. It's really more about technique and fundamentals at that level. Kyle "Big Wheel" Baranco is my ticket to the big time.

That little bundle of roundhouse fury has a great stance. I think you're stretching it a bit with the 32 lb. weight class. He looks about 4-5 lbs shy. Nothing you can't solve by a protein smoothie or two the night before.

I agree about the heavier classes. Some of these families have been in the competitions for genrations and are literal baby fighting factories. It is VERY hard to compete at that level against those institutional families.

Myself, I prefer to find the diamond in the rough. The freaks no one saw coming with the raw talent to compete and killer instinct already present before my training regiment hones the hands from blunt force hammers into the killing "water" that Bruce Lee spoke of.

My last champion knocked out all of Johnny Tsunami's teeth before they even came in. He looked like he was born with a black eye when we finished him.

Yes it's fake. The hole in the ozone is fake. The poor Aussies getting skin cancer from the hole is fake.

Just one big conspiracy.

The hole in the ozone layer is a totally different issue.

Does anyone remember a British anti-GW video? It debunked a lot of Al Gore's theories. The main premise is that Al Gore's chart of CO2 vs. temperature was correct, but that it was temperature controlling carbon dioxide and not the other way around, and the sun controlling temperature. For those who have taken chem, this makes some sense... increase the temperature and the ocean, the main contributer of CO2, will release more CO2 due to Le Chatelier's principle.

I think the main reason we're calling it "climate change" now instead of "global warming" is so that anything unusual can be pinned on fossil fuels. After all, we don't know where this is all going... so a record number of hurricanes, an unusually cold winter, a heat wave or a drought can all be used as evidence even if one idea conflicts with another. Feral cats giving birth in the fall? Must be due to something in the weather... something that has changed, even if it isn't due to global warming.

Speaking of diamonds in the rough, here is my newest pupil. He's definately not the biggest(or the prettiest), but he's already got the arrogance and attitude that usually takes years of training to achieve.

The world goes through cycles. First we had tropics with the dinosaurs, then we had an ice age, then we have what we have now. Climate is never stagnant, but it doesn't change over night.
Yes. It is fake. Al Gore and his thousands of his self-righteous minions have made a religion out of "saving the planet" .. Yeah the summers are longer and hotter than when I was a kid, but who knows how much longer that will continue? No one does apparently.

Well, I certainly think global warming is real. But the cause of it should be questioned. I simply don´t know myself.

But just debunking man made global warming as "liberal leftie loony conspiracy" is stupid and very unscientific. No scientists do that, they merely point to inconsistensies and faults within others arguments.

And, there´s no denying, a whole lot of brilliant scienctists believe global warming is partly caused by humans. Just labeling their research and opinion as a conspiracy is childish, go do your homework instead and come up with some real arguments.

If anything, it's understated.

I dont think mankind can be blamed entirely, i think its be overstated as a fault of mankind, when if anything we are just knocking it up a gear :p

But what can we do as a piddly little island :p

There is alot of conflicting information out there, so we will probably not know definativley til its too late :hiding:

I still stand by the fact we do need to do thinks more eco-friendly tho. Oil production is down by something like 4.1 million barrels per day per year, because alot of reserves are running dry. (I dont have a reference for that quote, my number might be a bit off, but its something like that, ill try and get the reference from my mate when he comes online, environmental geographer and all that)

I dont think anyone is just passing the research over as conspiracy, it is just there are many of them disagreeing with each other (as very often happens in science)
