I'm 60 and I still do pretty damn good in the chic department.
And I don't date women over 40.

Plus One to the above. But the bottom line is, if YOU think you're unattractive, then you ARE. .

spade, are you related to woody allen? i could just hear his voice as i read your posts in this thread.![]()
Spade, it isn't about looks, age, money, or anything else...it's about finding the right person who will love you for you, and you do the same.
Some of the happiest people I've seen were physically ugly mofos but they had found the right person for them.
Honestly, I agree that you should give counseling a shot. But, if you don't have kids, I would keep an option for getting out before you are tied for the rest of your life to someone who makes you feel miserable. To me, it sounds like possible psychological abuse, just going on what you posted. Male or female, your spouse should help you feel confident to face the world because you know you have a safe, supportive place to come home to. It doesn't sound like you have that right now. I'm on the tall side, but I know how you feel, ...and if it weren't for my son, I'm pretty sure I'd be gone. Good luck buddy.

This photo is not the most flattering. It makes me believe you're likely to jump out of Camp Crystal Lake and attack a girl in a canoe.![]()
A long time ago when I was allowed to shave my head.
Every person is not going to ooze with sex appeal. You don't have to be attractive to lots of women, you just need to get the right woman.
I have a son. In my defense, my wife used to be a heck of a lot nicer and kinder up until right before we got married.
I don't think counseling offers much in our case. Under NO circumstances can my wife admit fault without blame or lose an argument. My FIL is a successful attorney with a successful practice and I can tell that he enabled my wife and MIL to be this way. I am a pharmacist by trade and my wife will generally consult her mom as a primary or second opinion on what I do for a living.![]()
Do you mean that in addition to your issues at home with the wife, you are also trying to meet ladies through online dating?
Nope. Speaking of past dating experiences. If I were ever suddenly single, I'd make no effort to meet anyone as hermitdom is a little more appealing.
Without getting too long winded, is it wrong to realize that what the opposet sex want isn't me?
Other than for conception, stuff has been off limits for quite a while. In an argument, she said it was because she's no longer attacted to me. She'll usually deny this, but eventually own up to why she said it.
I think most of it is that life didn't quite turn out like she expected. She grew up fairly spoiled. I kid you not when I say that she grew up with a cleaning lady and so did her mom. She also doesn't seem too happy about the home we live in. I could go on, but the basic picture is that she grew up expecting things to be handed to her. Between all that and my looks, it seems like she settled on me and regrets it.
I had a girlfriend once who lost her sexual attraction to me because, as she put it, she could sense that I'd ceased to be attracted to her. It sounds as if this really has little to do with your physical attributes and much more to do with lifestyle and her expectations.
Honestly, I think it has less to do with your looks and more to do with what your wife seems to be saying (even if you don't realize it). Given your last post, I think you need to open up a bigger dialogue with your spouse, perhaps see a marriage therapist, and if things can't be reconciled maybe even consider moving on...
