Quite a thread; quite a read. In the span of what, a few days, there's a lot of rumble over what's happening to/has already happened with Modulus Guitars.
I read some well-stated views, and others that reminded me of that crowd with the pitchforks and all, ready to hang the victim whether guilty or not!
IMO- Nobody here knows- and that MAY include the powers that be at Modulus!- what the future holds. Chances are they are dealing with the many aspects that come with running a small mfg. business, including payables, receivables, purchasing, and much much more.
Some posters were VERY guilty of the "Point A to Z" method of behavior. That is to say:
"They're out of business, and all will lose their instruments and/or deposits...""
Not good behavior in my view.
The OP reported, his bass is coming home!
Others with some sourcing- endorsements, through reputable dealers, have reported that Modulus will return soon after it's re-structure.
IME, Modulus has always had a zero CS policy- They are a Dealer Oriented business.
I found this vid- IMO it says a lot.
Many mfrs. have spokespeople like game-show hosts, all sparkly, bubbly.
Not him!
Very dry, almost uneasy public speaking, very low-key presentation to say the least.
I think it shows that these fellows build great bass guitars, sell them through a dealer network, and really-
They don't want to interface with us players.
If that sets some off, I totally understand; and would recommend NOT buying a Modulus.
I have my FU4, it is a gem. I have no need to talk with them about it, my issues (there were none) would have been addressed with the Dealer.
I do hope everybody here wishes the best for Modulus Guitars.
They've made a BIG mark in the bass guitar field.
