The VM and Cv series are quite decent actually. Sure its not a USA made Fender but the difference between that and the Mexican ones isn't enough to justify paying almost twice the money for a Mexican. Even the USA made Fenders aren't worth £1000 in my eyes even if they are fantastic.
They are great. I played a Squier bronco yesterday that plays and sounds better than most basses in my local GC. Sometimes they accidentally make them too good for the price.
Hence the death of Fender Japan. Getting too close. They are great. I played a Squier bronco yesterday that plays and sounds better than most basses in my local GC. Sometimes they accidentally make them too good for the price.
I agree and like what you are saying, but these are exactly the same except a American fender is a lot better quality wise. mostly the specs will be the deciding factor on what you like or do not like. These are the same specs, one just has higher grade materials and construction. That said, squire is fine. If you can rock a squire better than my fender, I'm not going to chastise you because mine cost more.I really dislike arguments about basses being worse than or compared to one another because so much of what we like about instruments is subjective or very hard to measure. To me, it makes much more sense to ask simply if you like an instrument and if it works for you or not.

I feel exactly the same way.No one should ever criticize another person's instrument.
...All of the basses are just fine. I do know it is not the arrow, it is the Indian, and at the same time I'll take an 8 year old old German Warwick, or an old USA Fender, or an old Sadowsky NYC, or an old USA Lakland over a brand new shiny Squire or a Rockbass or a Skyline or a Metro any day.
I've wondered that for years between MIM and Mia.honestlySure, everything about MIA Fenders are more expensive than Squiers, it's just a question of are the better components worth the asking price for someone.
...a '75 or so MIJ Squier P bass, in decent , but played, and gigged condition...
I just got a CV 50's Vibe P-Bass and am REALLY liking it. Maybe my other basses are "nicer" (LOTS more $$$) but this one is really nice, too!
