Once again, Matthews is not the subject of my post. He just provided as example of a common expression.

Then why didn't you say that in the first place!![]()

I thought I did when I said the subject was the idea of colorblindness and not politics. Discussing Matthews per se is inherently political.
!!i dont think he meant malice by the statement i was just kind of an awkward statement that once you make it it can be scrutinized and pulled like taffy in every which direction and almost any statement you make in defense can be twisted to someone elses bennefit.
Coincidentally, since my dad is actually red/green colorblind, and this is OT, I thought I was going to see images like this:

What I get I guess for underestimating TB, lol.

Gentlemen! You can't fight in here! This is the war room!
I know talking heads have to yammer and avoid silence--that's what they're paid to do--but IMO, if you don't want to say something stupid, steer away from what might come out stupidly.

Blue and yellow makes green.
Thank you for helping make my point! The colorblind concept would be a great topic for dicsussion on it's own. As worded in the OP using Matthews who is famous for verbal blunders as the example, IMHO makes it almost impossible to take anything after that seriously or worse, go political.
Don't discuss Mathews then. His words were offered as an example but you could probably find many other people have said something similar. Let's just discuss what was said, meant, expressed, etc.
I have a feeling that it's impossible to discuss what Chris Matthews said, and more importantly what was meant, in a non political sort of way given the amazingly political nature of who delivered it and his past examples of verbal diarrhea.
