Yeah, the late 70's weren't very good years for Fender Basses. I'll offer you $400 for it now and save you the disappointment you lucky dog you.

that`s an insanely good deal. something looks odd, it`s in `too good` condition. did it ever get played, I`ve never seen a 70`s P bass in that kind of condition. I have three 70s P basses and the headstock turns a darker colour than the fretboard, in your picture the headstock doesn`t look like it`s aged, seems odd. on the plus side it has what appears to be an original case, if it was fake, that would be unlikely.

After you bought it. Take the neck off. And look at the numbers. Make a photo of it. Then you are ready to sell it on for something between 3000 and 6000 dollar.
