Is this bass that ugly?

I mentioned that my dream bass would have a fancy top and block inlays and someone got horrified. Is this bass really that ugly?

It's not hideous, but everyone has different preferences. Me? I like wood. No paint, no stain, just wood. But that's just me (and a few other bassists).

Seriously, I suspect this is one of those things that looks good at the time, but in a year you will look at it and say "What was I thinking?".
