That's all great, but, some of us have used one. Comparatively, the tank did not have the full range, authoritative tone that some of the others did. Rather it was very middy, small sounding and just sounded like it was working hard while the others were coasting along. This was not a subtle nuance. It was the general consensus to everyone at the gtg. I loved the AK 1203 Hathor's that were there. Would have no problem owning those.
I've used a tank onstage as well, and while I had no problem being heard, the same characteristics were present. There was no noticeable difference in dispersion between the tank and any other more conventionally designed speakers. I'm not saying the tank is a total turd, but I think some other speakers, which happen to be the cream of the crop, sounded better. It's tough competition.
Why Brad feels the need to discount and "disprove" people's opinions, based on use and direct comparison, is beyond me. Well, not really. I have no loyalty or agenda.
