So you haven't priced Faital Pro neo drivers before? Cool. Basically sell cabs for the cost of two drivers and some materials, a great recipe for failure. Building at a deficit (minus the rest of the materials and every other expense that goes along with running a business) is good for a tax write-off and early demise I guess.
BBC's prices in retail stores are what they should be selling for direct minus that middle man. Some people actually noticed that. Some clearly didn't.

I've sat in the audience at club while a tank was used. More than once and both times from what I heard from the crowd and during sound checks, "It didn't sound like a $1500 cab".
I also listened to a GK MB 212II beat it out in a full on crank it until it doesn't sound good test.
Where did $1500 come from? And why would the crowd say that? Was there a tag on it?
BTW that would get a cab and an amp.
There was one conversation here that was pretty funny... a fear guy stated that a (IIRC) $1,600 fear cab was the same price as a $1200 top of the line BBC. Based on pricing he provided. I had to get my solar calculator out on that one.

Then that was a pretty odd way of stating it. It looks like you quoted someone... were you quoting yourself?
Many times people point to what they consider the obvious culprit, even when it isn't the problem. I don't know what happened in your situation, in the ones I find myself in I get the exact opposite reaction. "Is that all you brought?". "Okay, where's the rest of it?". My favorite is probably when I'm sound checking before running the DI and soundpeople ask me if I'm in the house. The loudest I'll typically play on a gig is at soundcheck, just showing off.
The only way to explain how a cab functions is to provide a cutaway view, an impedance plot, an SPL plot and polar plots. If you've posted those my apologies, but I can't find them. If all you have is testimonials, well, you can find plenty of those for Brilliant Pebbles and Shakti Stones.

That is not the only way to explain how a cab functions. That's simply how you choose to look at things. Which again explains so much.
How many cabs come with this information? If the specs look good are you guaranteed that you'll like it?
People are happy with SVT cabs, have been for decades. Do they need plots to determine that? For someone like yourself, probably. Do you take polar plots on a gig... or a rig? Because rooms change, how can you be sure you're happy without the proper updated data?
There are people who can't decide if they like what they hear until they see the specs. There are folks who become unhappy with things they liked when they were told they shouldn't. Glad I'm in neither camp.
Now the hilarious part of this is your disagreement with what Duke pondered and your explanation of what he got wrong... despite the fact that you say that you can't explain how the cab functions WITHOUT ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: a cutaway view, an impedance plot, an SPL plot and polar plots.
So you can have it both ways?
