I've never been so mad or hurt...

If I remember correctly, are you the swinger? I lurk a lot.

If the answer's yes, where do you live?

On a serious note, I always was more attached and affectionate, even through the breakup she consistantly said that shed never met a more caring person. Guess it doesn't matter in the end.

No sir. I have been married one time, in 1999. Still married to the same woman.

I was only asking if you are good at giving someone love, attention, and caring since you have to be good at it to attract someone to do it to you.

Um, you're only 20. Explore. Mingle. Travel. Why the rush to settle down?

I don't want to "settle down", I didn't mean to imply that. Ive just always had a hard time with people, I've never really been able to be like "hey let's ****".

I dunno. All of my emotions and feelings are getting mixed up, I can't really figure out what to say any more.

She was also my best friend, and my only friend that didn't go to college in another town. I don't ever really have a lot of friends anyway. Now that she's gone, I don't have anyone to hang out with. So I sit in my apartment on my phone (i don't have a computer anymore, she accidently broke my laptop a month ago) and watch stuff on netflix, I'm currently rewatching all of scrubs. Loved that show.

Here's what I would do....I'd go back to this thread and either finish the rebuild since you're gonna have a lot more time....or post pictures of it if you have already finished it.

Wow, that's a refresher. After I defretted it, I just left it how it was. I use it infrequently, but I don't play bass much anymore, I haven't had the drive to. I constantly listen to so much music, I feel like it effects my creativity. Our main bond was that we both loved music. And weed. And sex.

Sorry. My bad. I misinterpreted the original post. When I heard "broke up", it implied to me a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship that was monogamous.

I enjoy Netflix as well. Maybe a bit too much on 3-day weekends such as this. I've lost all sorts of productivity catching up on Rescue Me and Sons of Anarchy. :)

How does one do quantity over quality, when living with his parents?

Keep in mind. The majority of females, one encounters on weekend live at home and are just out to dance and have drinks.

My answers is always lock the door and separate from the herd, get a number and work on it later.
Or
Skip the bar scene and go to a book store or something during the day.

Spew more advice on me!!!!!!!

All relationships end. The bad ones end badly, the good ones end in death.

I've been going through a horrible divorce. She cheated on me so I filed. She's mad because I held a job so she could finish school, but now she has to work, go to school full time, and be a parent (her choice, I offered, she refused). I figured out later she has been using me for a paycheck for years, cheating on me multiple times and just staying with me until she finished school. She even admitted to it to a court ordered social worker. She's a very evil person.

She refuses to participate in the divorce because she was awarded a very generous temporary order for child/spousal support. It's been going on so long that even my very serious gf that I met after I filed left me because she was tired of waiting. I have to declare bankruptcy and am in foreclosure. I found out she put everything for our old business in my name, and didn't pay sales tax for over a year, so I owe the state $7,000. I had to quit my job because I was paying so much in support that I couldn't afford food or my medications... so now I am on welfare and get meds for free from the drug companies. My parents help me barely pay my bills. Meanwhile she's in a master's program and travels all the time all over the country and the world to further her education/career. On my dime.

So back to the reason why I quoted your post... this is a bad one ending badly. Her dying would be a great way to end this relationship!

If all you want is somebody to utterly dominate, sure.

I want & got an equal partnership ; not a king/servant relationship.

I'm Taiwanese, and I laughed. King/Servant relationship? What are we, in ancient China?

To the OP. I agree with the others who say if she wants to be single in school, she is not worth it as she sees you as disposable. Move on because you're worth more than that.

Now more than ever you should be enriching yourself in every way you can, it helps you forget and makes you more attractive to the next woman or group of them. It sucks that she lied, but all people lie for all types of reasons and some of the things that they lie about are just silly and it is important to recognize this when you need to assess how pissed off or hurt you need to be.

Love yourself first, it makes it easier for other people to do the same.

I am really sorry to hear what you're going thru. My ex went wild, having multiple affairs....even with friends who had the gall to to pat me on the back then look me in the eye and say "how you doing, buddy?" At the time I didn't know this and I still have a very hard time trusting people. Of course, I got stuck with her bills too although not to the degree of what you're going thru. Took me about five years to recover financially. Emotionally? I've been single since my divorce in '93. Really don't even want to date anyone.

Being alone isn't perfect.....but compared to what I went thru I'll gladly take it!

I wish you well and hope things work out for you.

Yikes. You guys win. On the bright side, at least you guys aren't violent. I'd probably be behind bars after something as horrible as that.

Ha, that's funny... my ex filed a restraining order against me. She went to the courthouse and said i was insane, suicidal, and was going to buy and gun and kill my family. She outright lied and it was granted! They didn't investigate it or ask for any proof. I have never even had the police at my house, let alone been arrested. I didn't see my daughter for 2 months until it got sorted out. Meanwhile she's telling my daughter that "daddy's sick and the police have to keep him away from us so he doesn't hurt us". Some people are just freaking crazy.

Thanks Mike M. I feel like i'm on the upswing. My divorce trial is in October, over 2 years from when this all started. Who knows when the judge will actually rule on the case, but after October it's basically over. Honestly, i really feel sorry for the guy she started dating because he's just another one in a long line of people who she uses and throws away when she's done with them. My daughter told me that my ex said she's going to get pregnant by her boyfriend so she can have a baby sister or brother. In other words, she wants to milk someone else for child support.

I dunno, maybe I should write a book or a movie, this is good material and its hard to believe someone is doing this!

I'm really...glad to be typing this. I need to thank everyone whos posted in this thread. Somthing today really clicked, that she doesn't care about me, so why should I care about her? I really don't want to get into specifics, because I'm uncomfortable talking about one of the issues that came up today. It really smacked me in the face, kinda, that I can't let her opinion of me bother me, at all.

The kind words in this thread have really helped me. It served as a reminder that I do have people to care for me. I don't even post that often on talk bass, I just lurk and read constantly (all of my friends know about "the bass website I read all the time"), and there is still a large group of people that care for me, simply because I am here. That's just something...really wonderful to know.
