Use a pickup line. My favorites are:
*walk up, look them up and down* 'you'll do.'

'hey, nice shoes, wanna ****?'

'hey, I smell oranges. Do you like oranges? Me too, let's ****'.

Those are the only ones I know off the top of my head.

I like the approach where you're obviously staring at their lips in a quizical (sp?) way so that she eventually goes, "Okay, what the hell are you looking at?" You then respond with, "Your herpes isn't too noticeable tonight."

Guaranteed win.

What you're all fogetting is that most women hate other women.. unless they want to do naughty things to them. So what can you do to get a girl?

Flirt with/talk to the girl you don't want and her "hot" friends will inevitably be insulted and will fight over you.
Works every time.

However, if you're a lady and like girls.. I advise holding a ladies hand near a bar or club or whatever it is people do these days.. Seems weird, but same concept. Ladies see that you like other girls, come over and introduce themselves to you to compete for your attention.. etc.

You'll find someone who loves you and whom you love.
Right now you love Mary but she doesn't love you.
It is what it is. It may be harsh but I've been there done that.

I'll get it all evened out eventually. I'm just gonna focus on me. And the world is a lot more appealing when everyone is an option :)
