well trust me I have also played in many "dining rooms" before, and our guitarplayers back in the day always brought a huge amount of gear...sad to think they wasted so much energy and had to put the volume on 1/2 to be heard...lol Those days of me dragging around the large gear don't happen too often unless it's an outdoor show where I know I'll never hear myself on stage and I don't like IEM's or trusting a 15" wedge monitor to hear myself.. Then I break out the 2-4x10's, the 2x12, the 2x15 the 1x18 etc,etc,etc....lol

I checked out the BC Rich Thunderbird at Rumble Seat...... WOW! That is one Mighty machine! Turns out it was custom made for Kelly Chaisson of Keel. great score on the Jacksons CrankinYankee! All three are very cool basses. I love each one for their respective individuality. Your a lucky man! Uglystick
I had the chance to play on one of those, but never bought one since I already had my JackBird and it did everything I wanted :)

here's a quick cameraphone pic for those who are here that never saw it in the other threads I have it posted in.

I pulled it out yesterday night to see if the battery was still working...yep 6 months of sitting in the case, and it still had 8vt's, so I jammed a little bit with rusty strings --ewwww. I'll change them out tomorrow since I'm gonna bring it to practice on Sunday.

at our gig on Sunday for the Pittsburgh Marathon, I actually DID use my backup bass (Series10 custom) for a set just for a change of pace. Funny thing was my mix into the PA kinda sounded the same since my other bass has all Jackson electronics in it, so it was more for a photo-op to use something else.

I never owned one of those to tell you my opinion, but for 200 if it's clean and the neck is still good ( meaning not a beater-bass thrown all around the floor for 10 years ), I'm sure it would sound cool.

I always like a single coil-dual coil setup :)

that tends to be my sentiment as well. just checking as you seem to be the all knowing jackson man around here!
