And correct me if I’m wrong, but the VAT is already added to the price for European sales, so I believe it’s subtracted from the price for US sales.

I wonder how much the Mesa heads cost in Europe? I’m sure the price structure is quite different than we see here in the US.

I’m ready to move on from my Tonehammer 500 after about a decade.

I’m between the Sisma and Fuchs Audio’s new heads. I’m sure it’s way too early for anyone to have tried both, but IF you have, please let me know your thoughts on them. Thanks.

I've tried all three (Sisma, Fuchs FBT700 and FBS700), and they are all great, but sound/respond fairly differently. The Sisma has been well discussed herein, and the FBS really does sound/feel like a Walter Woods, and the FBT really does have a legit Ampeg feel. I could be happy with any of the three.

Generally, VAT is INCLUDED IN European sales prices but in the US ~9.5% sales tax is ADDED TO the sales prices.

I actually did the calculation in the Subway thread for the UK at least and it was within a couple percent when taxes and exchange rates were factored in. For the EU, it was around 8% higher because of the additional distribution within the EU as well as the additional tarrifs and fees (including company registration and WEEE) that imports into the EU from the US are subject to.

Because they are in fact quite different amps. There was a lot of variability with the earlier MI100's due to the emulated opamps.

For reference an Aguilar AG 700 is € 1349, a Fender Bassman 800 is € 1399, a Glockenklang Blue Bird is € 1739.

So more or less in the same ballpark as the competition.

I have tried the Fuchs head on 3 occasions, once being live. I'm not sure which one, it was one of the 700's. It was cool but I'm extremely happy with the Sisma. And I won't let go of or stop using my Mesa 800+ and WD800 either. They are all great and no regrets on the price of any of them.
I love JFA and Mesa.

In the USA, an Aguilar AG700 is $949 SHIPPED. That's $616 LESS than Sisma. Not in the same ballpark. There are clearly advantages/disadvantages to where we live.
