True, but I have a spare Tele neck sitting here that is bass-less, so I thought it might be a good match!

Take a good look at the pictures we have posted. It may fit - the neck heel is fairly squared off on this bass. or just send me the Tele neck and I'll be happy to try it for you.
Sometimes I wonder if the possibly primitive design of the Turser pickup is similar to the original Fender SC design. I've read more than one post from Turser owners who like the Turser pickup better than the RI Fender pickup.

I just picked up one of these for $85 locally. Replaced the bridge with a wilkenson two-saddle bridge and the pickup with a SD Antiquity II single coil P pickup. Sounds unbelievably good. I spent less than $250 on this thing, it plays like a thousand dollar bass. Huzzah!
I think I'm gonna unload mine in the near future. I still love the sound but I'm finding myself using my ATK for everything these days and the Turser is just collecting dust. Keep an eye on evilbay...
I just ordered one in the sunburst for 180 bucks because I didn't want to wait for one to go up on ebay. I can't wait for it to come. I think this was a good outlet for my GAS since it was such a steal and I've been thinking about buying a pedal steel for 800 dollars lately. I'll be satiated by this for a while I hope.

Hmmmm...never seen a strap button extension like that. You say it REALLY makes a difference in the balance????

I ordered an AllParts tele neck and it was just a little too big for the Turser neck pocket.
I solved the problem by buying a 51RI

Damn GAS got the best of me and I did a 'best offer' to the evil bay seller that poses these in front of the Orange amps. An even $130 with shipping. B-stock with a finish crack at the jack. Nothing too bad. Fairly well setup out of the box, reasonable neck finishing.
Used it at a jam the day after getting it and was very impressed (neck dive aside), even with the are-you-joking-me strings. Have since swapped strings for the new DR flats (oh my, they are nice), and it's freakin' nice.
So thank you for enabling my addiction

i put this on my SX P and have been pretty pleased with it, but I do dig the looks of the eBay one. thanks for the tip.
Hey de1orean, was that a direct fit or did you have to make new holes?
I just changed the strings on mine. It had a cheap set of Hartke light gauge roundwounds. I put a set of half-rounds on it, .110 - .055 and that made a huge difference. The new strings are much tighter and remove some of the excess "zing" and have a much better feel for my playing style. With the single pickup being closer to the neck, I've found that I like a higher tension string for playing over the pickup.
