Your music's pretty good. Not my thing now, but I would've loved it about 15 years ago. The "jazz" tie-in is thin, but whatever. Genre names are BS anyway.

That said, you need to get a thicker skin. Crapping all over anyone who doesn't dig your stuff, especially when its as out-there as yours is, makes you seem insecure and petty.

I like this. My first thought on clicking the youtube link was that somebody listens to a lot of Mike Patton. Then I clicked the Myspace. I hear a lot of Mike Patton/Mr Bungle-type influence, Dog Fashion Disco and such. I have always liked those bands. I would certainly dig this on a CD, possibly love it live.

I don't know- this is not exactly "mainstream". A lot of people just don't like this kind of music. Granted, some people will like anything from known artists, but I think criticism here has been mostly fair.

What hasn't been fair is the OP's response to any and all criticism. Why start a thread like this if you're just going to insult everyone who responds?

I love metal. I love jazz. This is neither of those things. I would never willingly listen to anything remotely like this, no matter who made it.

Mmk, I concede... your stuff on Myspace is far better sounding. Camcorder/ cell phone recordings really do eliminate a lot. I'm not a huge fan of math type rock, but while we're mentioning some names. I know of Daughters, who recently are no longer a band, and All Leather, who is not quite so mathish.

Daughters broke up? Really? I enjoyed those dudes. Your band totally reminds me of Dillinger Escape Plan And Mike Patton. Or that one album where Mike Patton did the vocals for DEP. Either way I like your stuff!

I don't. I think it has been non-existent. I love a good bit of constructive criticism, but if you're just going to show up with ignorance, you get the napalm. Dudes like Burlington, for example, are just having a go for the sake of being awesome blokes; trite, obvious, and not helpful.

But if you're digging it and things, I'm glad. We work hard on this music, even though it might sound like a bit of a cacophony at times. I think I do more quadratic equations before playing than I ever have

Pet peeve, got no patience for the inability of passer-bys to grok the concept that, no, it's not literally jazz but yes, by God, does it contain many, many elements as patented - and even some suggested - by jazz. I'm going over our mixes for the EP right now, and it sounds like schizo Herbie all up in this track. No metal drummer has ever touched a damn ride cymbal like our boy is doing right this instance in my headphones - but Art Blakey has. I really look forward to sharing it with you, I honestly think you'll find something to dig about it.
