1 more question before we pull the trigger.
When using a powered system (i.e. JBK or QSC), how is the signal sent to the mains (using a 1 sub system) so that xtreme lows aren't sent to 12" mains? Is a separate crossover or limiter needed, or do the mains have one built in to keep the bass drum from blowing a speaker?
The sub has a built-in crossover, so you send the output from the board to the sub, make sure the crossover is activated, then send the output from the sub to the mains. This is for the JBLs. The crossover is in the sub, not the mains in the PRX612M. The JBLs do not have a separate HPF and crossover (although the crossover is technically an HPF).
