Jeff Andrews a Jaco clone??? Or a lot more

The first 2 vids were unavailable, so I'm basing my opinion on the third. The guy doesn't come close to touching Jaco. If you like speed, maybe, but as far as feel, soul, groove, etc. the guy does nothing for me.

When you base your opinions on one piece of information, and make pronouncements about abilities and feel and groove, you close yourself off to what reality may be. While you are entitled to limit your horizons in anyway you see fit, you close yourself off to the possibilities that there are other great players out there that have valuable and beautiful things to say.

Jaco is dead and is not coming back. RIP, Lets see what else Jeff Andrews has. One recording does not define an artist. He is not Jaco and does not claim to be. That doesn't mean he isn't one of the very best in the world, in his own right.

There are literally a handful of people in the world that play at his level. I choose to cherish that for what it is.

and he made that pronouncement after hearing bait tone blues. a very bad ass bass solo. i essence he's saying that he has no ears and cant hear the amazing vocabulary and phrasing that jeff is displaying, all at a burning tempo

That's total BS. My post was fully qualified (limited, if you will) by my first sentence. I've closed myself off to nothing.
