Just played the Box-O-Tone (the preamp that this is based on) through the Ice1000 for a gig this weekend. Totally killin'. Fat, punchy articulate. Tubey goodness without the bloat. Played back and forth with the Sonic Farm and it was hard to pick one. The Box-o-Tone has the ability to sound warm tubey---but articulate and hifi--at the same time.(and I'll say "punchy" again) And the 1200 watt Ice--fagetaboutit. Crazy headroom and impact. Can't wait to try the new amp in Reading.
