i like all of the live tracks because you can listen to the song, then listen to the live track and you will be wondering if the two are the same song. mainly because of the improvisation from John.

The Real Me is probably my favourite Entwistle performance... It's overloaded with great, driving bass lines.

that song might as well have been the bass solo live rather than 5:15. i love the entire Who catalog.

I think i have it, i have "30 years of R&B" CD set. wich, i think, makes it weird that i dont have any of their later albums, as it is alot of amazing songs on the last disc.

i havent seen that set in any stores... maybe ill order it.

yeah, right now im trying to get to a semi-repeatable version of my Mini-Operreta in my head so that i can record it. if i were to join a band and record a record with them right now, i would just go in, and play whatever my hands think i should play. i will definetly be posting clips on my website when i have the time and the whole thing is recorded.

Humm? I wonder what I could make a copy of a Buzzard out of? haha........

nah, im satisfied with the one i have now, and as the bridge is routed into the the body, i may have to rout extra, and i dont want that.

i dont modify my basses at all. and i think that your bass is fine the way it is. you just lose resale value by messing with stuff on your bass.

i have yet to hear everything he ever played, but i am on my way. someone once said that only the musicians noticed John. which is quite true.

the Alembic bridge mounts to a large block of brass that is inlaid into body under the bridge. the block is screwed to the body and the bridge mounts to the brass block. they call it a sustain block.

my rig is a Gallien-Krueger 1001RB-II head and 2 4x10 cabs, and im thinking about doubling it. that rig looks so cool.

just wondering, whats a sustain block?

its an Alembic thing. i think its because the basses are really heavy they need a block to balance them out. the block just happens to increase sustain most likely.
