After several near-misses with booking, I finally got Atlanta bassist Joseph Patrick Moore and his friends to come and play my Bass Bash at Douglas Corner Friday night. He's a great player with a unique voice on the instrument who has released several CDs, runs his own record label with 30 different signed Artists and has toured with Bob James and Earl Klugh. How'd I miss this guy?
    Great player!:bassist:

I have a couple of his CD's, I got into him because he used Jimmy Herring on one. Great player!

  3. Yeah, I can vouch for the guy being a GREAT bassist and someone to really learn from when it comes to style and technique. Love his stuff! He's a definite example when it comes to knowing how to do it right.

I dig his writing too, definitely above most bass player here's my chops/solo albums.

  5. He has a very original musical voice and is a great person to know. I'm happy to call him a friend. He was really encouraging in helping me to start writing and recording my own tunes.

JPM's "greatest hits" recording is a good place to check him out: Decade 1996-2005 (2006)

I wish that I could have been there for the Bass Bash.

I had that on the CD changer today. What a great recording!
We'll do it again next year, and I will surely invite JPM to play again!
