I use the Jive on board 1 as my always on saturation, do you think the DCX would be able to fit that mold? I recently got a Cali and been impressed with Origin so far

I have both and they're tonally quite different but they complement each other if used together. I use Jive as a light breakup/ dirty boost and DCX as an overdrive. Jive into DCX sounds fantastic. Roles could be reversed too - DCX for light dirt and Jive for more dirt. I'm waiting for my Bass Jive to arrive to see what that version wil sound best as.
