JPTR Jive NPD

Would love to have a go at making a double jive. The way I use it too I wouldn't need any of the 3 switches as I never use them. Could it be possible to make a Jive without them 3 switches?
i made one like that, but it just has one master volume:

I just added a Jive to my board. I really liked the idea of it and the sound samples. Unfortunately it introduced a ton of noise into my signal. I'm disappointed. I'll play with it a bit to see if I can make it work, but I probably won't be keeping it.

Sorry to hear that! Did you get a new one, or is that one of the older versions prior to them being smd builds? I've also read that certain power supplies can make it noisy. What power supply are you using? I have zero noise with Cioks DC7, and it's even daisy chained with my muff pedal. Or it could be a dud, of course.

I bought it new in January. I'm using a Truetone CS6. I do have some pedals daisy chained, so I could try and give it a dedicated supply and see if that fixes it.

Has anyone compared these to the Broughton Studio Mini?
I own both. Never compared them per se, but I can confirm they are quite different in their sounds and purposes. The drive you can get by clipping the Studio Boost Mini, say with a boost upstream, is not pleasant at all to my ears. It's really meant as a clean tone polish.

I have one incoming, looking forward to seeing just what will happen. My first trial will be to see what kind of grunt it will cause with my pbass and Sushi Box FX Slampegg Bee mini tube.

Im interested to hear what you think.

I was keen but found it lacking and selling it on reverb. https://reverb.com/uk/item/80611895-jptr-fx-jive-2024

Yes its a boost but after so much time with my ultrawave, the Jive fell short. Better with passive bass but my 2 fav basses are active and it turns the good sounds to mud, doesnt have the range of harmonics to utilise, bottom end falls away with the distortions. Couldnt see the big deal.
