Thought I’d share my rig. Monique started out as a bird cage but every lady should have a little black dress so when the bamboo housing popped up she just had to get dressed up.

Good catch, bradtv. I'm guessing one at the front and one at the back of the chain, and what appears to be a Fire Bottle somewhere in the middle? Nice. Are you glad you got that power supply?

Is the fire bottle your dirt pedal? Yes, also saw your power supply, it’s definitely needed. I’m new to bass and if my work band takes off I’ll invest in some Effectrode gear. It’s a big spend commitment if I’m not gigging regularly. But the L1 probably sounds amazing on acoustic guitar. I just picked up a used Diamond Bass comp based on Scubadubba’s recommendation from the epic compressor thread.

I use the PC-2A for mild compression and warm tube gain. The LA-1A is used as a limiter and added warm. They are well build and dead quiet. The Fire Bottle is used for some added gain for my passive pickups and more tube warmth. With three pedals the power supply was necessary. Plus it could still power my standard 9 volt pedals.

One might say I was somewhat interested in tube devices?

Yesterday at a Vegan Fest (Not Vegan) Monique rack mount on IP310 with Ashbory. Oh my!

I owned the Glockenklang before Jule introduced Monique. It is, to me, the warmest most articulate SS pre I’ve ever played. An Ashbory needs no enhancements, just clear pass through. Yet the times I’ve played the Monique it delivers this extra syrup! When I bend a note it goes there up and down and never lets go until I end the note. Meanwhile all that clarity is still there. All that phat low end with buttery mids. It’s my go to!

I appreciate your praise of my writing. Meanwhile we have different things to say and in different ways. We’ve had different lives and that scope of vision can touch someone in a way another’s doesn’t. So please write that book or two!
