Haven't seen that film since I was a teen -- I think that I need to watch it again. I might have a different appreciation for it now.

I suspect I might be getting you into a potential noise generating area if I added the additional wiring to make both options available. Every time we add wire to that input signal we add potential for trouble. I see the advantage of having both options, but I fret.
