Jule Amps Monique Part III

Put in my order for a rackmount De-Monique yesterday. Going with the DM was a few hundred more than a getting a dedicated power amp or a using a used GK as a power amp, but the simplicity, and size and weight savings of having one unit won me over. (Not that having a pre and a separate power amp is complicated, but I'm a less is more kinda guy.)

Probably gonna pair it with a fearless Bassic 15. It's got a single 15" driver, and is greenboy's take on a vintage style cab. Any other thoughts on cabs? I play finger style exclusively, and don't use effects. Jerry Jemmott's tone on his work with King Curtis is what I'm going for. I have a 78 P with EMGs and Mike Lull on order that should be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Congrats!

Personally, I absolutely love my Bergantino AE210's with Monique. My Sadowsky SA410 (Berg) also Sounds killer.

Nostatic and a couple others love their Baer 112's with Monique and more than a few others are using fEARful designs.

I have played Monique thru Bergs, Ampeg, TC Electronic and Mesa cabs. I prefer the Bergs, but it seems to take to most cabs.:bassist:

Baer has an ML115 that has a 6" midrange you might want to check out.
Bergantino is about to release an NV156 sealed cab.
Genz Benz has an Uber 115 as well.

This just made my weekend a whole lot better - so excited :hyper:

Thought these might help.

Pretty nice. IMHO.

Somebody's going to be asking for a matching cabinet before long....

Sweet rig though - Kudos to Jule!

Jim

Thank you.

I seriously doubt if any of us would like to try lifting a speaker cabinet made of this Bamboo. It is very dense and very heavy.

Real cool looking Jule .... Any chance the regular Minnie will have the indentations for mounting the Monique ?

There isn't enough room to add indentations in the top of the Minnie. James Demeter has done a very "cool" thing, and made the top of the Minnie part of the heat-sink for the power module. Neat idea, but kinda limits what can be done to that top.

Wow Jule.

This was worth the wait!

I have to admit that I too am kinda shocked at how rich this came out. It has to do with only working with artists.

Phil Beuhrig is the man who did the wood work. He is great to share ideas with. Busy guy and with two young boys, but I know this is fun for him. He's recently started talking about learning to play, so I think we have him hooked. :)
